Dear beloved CPI family
Since the establishment of CPI in 2005 as a project to host experts in the areas of culture, tourism and sports and provide them with great opportunities for special training and experiencing Korean culture for 5 months, we have invited over 1,000 CPI participants from over 100 countries.
This year, we have 77 excellent specialists from 38 different countries participating in CPI.
I believe that the exchange of people is the most effective means of cultural diplomacy. Also, I am truly looking forward to hearing about the cultures that you will introduce to us during your stay in Korea.
As the secretariat of CPI, we, Arts Council Korea will help you during this exchange of culture as you develop yourself through the exchange. And we are going to support you to the best of our ability when you return to your home country so that you can share your valuable experiences and outcome.
I sincerely hope every single person of CPI will have meaningful journey in Korea for the next five months.

Hello everyone.
On behalf of Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. I would like to welcome our cultural partners and all respective representatives of each organization.
Cultural Partnership Initiative was launched by our ministry in 2005 to create a well-blended global village through cultural exchanges, marking the 13th year already. I am delighted to greet you this year with a variety of training programs along with cultural experiences.
I would like our training sessions over the next five months to be a valuable time for you to cultivate your individual talents and capabilities. Furthermore, I hope you will be the next cultural ambassadors of your country and lead active exchanges with Korea in the future.
We, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Arts Council Korea, and all respective organizations will spare no support for your five-month efforts to bear fruit. We would like to ask all of you to make your utmost effort with confidence as members of this year’s initiative.
I hope your experience in Republic of Korea will be filled with joy and valuable lessons.
